Frequently Asked Questions

Will insurance cover this Physiotherapy program?
Unfortunately, most benefit plans will not cover a program like PhysioReady under physiotherapy coverage. For a program to be covered as physiotherapy, it must include an assessment, a  reassessment, and various modifications performed by a registered physiotherapist. PhysioReady currently not offer those services. However, some benefit plans have a fitness and wellness portion that might cover program like PhysioReady. Go ahead and contact your benefits advisor to find out whether you have a section like this under your coverage plan and if it might cover PhysioReady.

How does the program work?
After registering for PhysioReady, you will receive an access code to your own personal portal. In this portal your whole program is laid out for you. Your program will include education on activity modification during healing and rehabilitation, how your injury is expected to heal and recover, and an individualized exercise program containing mobility, strength and motor control drills.

Your program will be updated every day so you know exactly what to do and how much to do. As you progress through your PhysioReady program, your program will become progressively more challenging. Don’t worry, you can handle it.  Your program will include both expert video guided tutorials and written descriptions tailored to your diagnosed condition.

As you complete your program each day, PhysioReady tracks your progress and lets you know right away how you are doing. Not only can you describe your symptoms every day to help track your progress, but you will also find outcome measures to help you understand just how well you are doing!

How do I know if I’m on the right track?
PhysioReady tracks your progress and lets you check your results at any time. With just one click you can see how far you have progressed! You’ll be able to track the improvements in your reported pain, function and strength throughout the course of your individualized PhysioReady program.

Is this program considered Physiotherapy?
Our programs are designed by physiotherapists for unique conditions based on the best available evidence. Instead PhysioReady is a generalized fitness program and not considered physiotherapy treatment. For a service to truly be called “Physiotherapy”, there must be an initial assessment completed by a registered physiotherapist, along with ongoing program modification and reassessment.

Do I need a Doctor to refer me to this program?
No, you do not. PhysioReady provides open access. Though you do not need a referral from your family doctor, PhysioReady is individualized to specific diagnoses. With that in mind, it is required for patients to visit a healthcare provider they trust (ie. family or sports doctor, physiotherapist, etc.) to receive a proper diagnosis before beginning PhysioReady. Then, after you have received and understand your diagnosis, enroll with PhysioReady and get started!

What happens if the program doesn’t fix my problem?
Most users see huge improvements in their condition. However, if PhysioReady does not seem to resolve your condition follow up with your family physician or another allied health professional to discuss your own next steps.

Do I need internet access to use the program?
PhysioReady is accessible both online and offline! Getting registered will require that you visit our website at physioready.com. But, once you are registered, you can download your personalized video content directly onto your phone and view it offline. You can also print out the written portions of your program as a PDF if you prefer to see it all on paper and device free.
